Release Notes
The Admin interface has been rebuilt as a modern web application that runs in any desktop browser. The updated interface replaces the previous version's dated presentation while preserving the existing workflow. A new Provenance report is also available, showing why each participant was assigned to a given audit.
All modules have been revamped for modern cloud deployment. Deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance are simpler than in the previous version.
The Respondent interface remains as it was. No retraning is required.

The Process

The audit coordinator defines the scope of the audit inquiry in the Admin module — client, subsidiaries, and timespan.
The system identifies the relevant matters and the legal personnel associated with them.

The system manages coordination between participants — review, approval, and forwarding — within the system rather than through email or separate channels.
The audit coordinator tracks completion.
The audit coordinator generates the firm's response letter by synthesizing the assessments into a firm response letter.
The System
The Admin module is where the coordinator manages the audit inquiry process end to end — defining scope, tracking attorney participation, reviewing completion status, and generating the firm's response letter.
The Respondent module is where attorneys receive their assignments, provide their assessments, and coordinate with other participants as needed. The interface is straightforward and requires minimal orientation.
The system handles coordination between participants within a single environment — review, approval, and forwarding of matter assessments are managed internally rather than through email or separate channels. This keeps the process organized and traceable.
When an audit inquiry recurs for the same client, prior substantive responses are linked to the current inquiry. Respondents can see what they or others wrote previously, which helps maintain continuity across audit cycles and supports comprehensive responses.
The system's primary output is the firm's response letter to the auditor. Accepted write-ups from all participants are synthesized into a response letter appropriate to the type of audit inquiry and the client/subsidiary structure.
Five reports are available for internal tracking and record-keeping. AuditTrack 4 introduces the Provenance report to easily understand why every participant is assigned to an audit.
